About

Culture brings people closer together.

The Antwerp Pianist is a cultural residence in the heart of Antwerp. With the grand piano as the heart of the house, we keep a warm and international cultural salon where everyone is welcome.

The concept

This is a place where people meet through culture: artists, musicians, thinkers, business leaders, neighbours, friends and guests from near and far.

Through concerts, exhibitions, literary evenings, gastronomic dinners and international collaborations, an open house comes into being where languages, countries and backgrounds do not separate but enrich each other.

Here culture is not only presented. It is experienced, shared and connected. The Antwerp Pianist, where everyone is welcome and Antwerp meets the world through culture.

The Diephuis

A location with history

The Antwerp Pianist resides in the Diephuis, a characterful building whose origins reach back to the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

What was once part of the old urban life around the Saint Augustine Church still carries the grandeur of Antwerp: the depth of the house, the historic facade, and the monumental gate from 1610.

Within these old walls, history takes on new life. Where once there was living and dwelling, today music, art and encounter resonate.

Under one roof

  • Music

The origin of the house and still the beating heart of it. Classical, jazz, world music and contemporary creations around the concert grand.

    The programme

  • Gallery

Art takes shape through Arthur Gallery, an international platform for contemporary art that brings together artists, collectors and culture lovers.

  • Gastronomy

Not a restaurant, but a cultural extension of what we do: tastings, wine evenings and dinners with chefs and artisanal producers.

  • Literature

The art of the word in all its forms. Authors, poets, thinkers and performers, at close range rather than at a distance.

  • Private events

Historic salons that can be reserved exclusively, with attention to content, atmosphere and artistic added value.

    Private events

  • Curated pop-ups

Temporary concepts where culture, craft and creativity meet. Some ideas deserve a temporary stage.
